Hi Sarah
I am glad that you learned about something new visiting my blog today 🙂
Lucidchart = Ace! Thanks for signposting this!
Hi Thomas first thanks for the tips, but i dont use google drive. what is the benefit of this google service?
The Google Drive service is pretty much the same as DropBox and SkyDrive. The advantage of Google drive might be that is has better integration for other Google Apps.
Hey Thomas,
Great list of useful apps. I have been searching for Pixlr, this post provided me all the relevant information on the same. Thanks for the great insight, it was very helpful.
You are welcome Aayna
Hi,
Like this post a lot. The online apps are really fabulous. I like the photo editor app. This is really a great help for many of us.Thanks a lot for sharing with us.
Great post, Thomas! I enjoy working with Pixlr but it’s been fairly unstable for me on Chrome. Any tips on how to avoid crashes? I usually work with jpg files ~4.5MB each.lately
Thank you Shandi
I must admit that I have not used it that much myself yet. Files of only 4.5 MB should not be an issue if you ask me. Have you tried in another browser with one of the picture that make your chrome browser crash?
I tried it on Chrome, Safari and Firefox. They’re all crashing for me? Should I take screenshots and send them over to their tech support?
That might very vell be the way to go.
Hi Thomas, This is a great list for Google Drive. I still use Dropbox and am pretty wedded to it. But if I ever switch over, it’s great to know which apps are available.
Hi Carolyn
I use Dropbox as my primary online storage too. However you can still use these apps without Google Drive the integration is just better with drive. I really think that the Pixlr editor is cool if you are using a computer without a photo editor.
I’m always afraid, if I use more than one cloud storage service, that I won’t remember where I stored a file. In the beginning, before there was a Kindle bookstore, I used to get ebooks from a bunch of different sites. Then I couldn’t remember which book came from which site.
But I love photo editing so I will check out Pixlr. Thanks for the recommendation!
Hi Thomas, Thanks for sharing the photo editor. I use PAint.net extensively and the Pixlr editor serves my purpose better. Thanks again for this informative post.
Thanks for the apps. I didn’t know about Pixlr. Useful article, appreciate.
I wonder when a music streaming app will surface??
Do any of those work with Android tablets?
I am not sure, but check it out on Google Play. They might very well work on Android tablets as well
