Soon it will be Christmas again and just like last year, I will help you out with some ideas for great tech gift to put under the tree this year. The Phantom 2 is even in 2015 a good pick. Bought it for like 400 dollars with a built in camera!

I would add Hubsan X4 to the list. It is a cheap but good drone, with a camera. I guess it is a perfect gift for a beginner who has no flying experience. Aside of Hubsan X4, Syma has also some nice models that are not too expensive – both way under 100$.
I agree with Rene. The Hubsan X4 is cheap and affordable. However, if you’re looking to get a drone for Christmas and would like to go into the more advanced / higher-level photography models, the Phantoms are great to start! It ultimately depends on your experience level and how much you’re willing to spend.
These are really good gifts I wanted a drone but it did not work out as planned, Ohh well there is always next Christmas.

Ha, my mother gave me a phantom drone back in 2014. And it is still the best gift ever! Love my drone and GoPro combination.
